In case you do a wrong setting for the battery type selection, it will not affect the security of your system, it is only related to the battery life, especially when the battery chemicals are total different.
For example: Gel battery and Calcium contented battery come with obviously different chemical characteristic. If the battery is always at the condition of overcharge or undercharge for long term due to wrong setting for the battery type selection, you may shorten the battery life, so please carefully make the setting for the battery type, if necessary, please consultant to your battery manufacture.
